Berardi Group has started a sustainability program based on the ESG principles – Environment, Social and Governance, integrating them in the company’s business model. The application of these guidelines will be monitored with ESG-relevant parameters, in order to fulfil both market standards and European regulations.

The program is structured in five main phases:

1. Roadmap, Stakeholder mapping and material analysis: finding internal and external stakeholders, and evaluating the most important themes through context analysis and benchmarking, to analyse the alignment of the ESG strategy with market standards.

2. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): selecting the most impactful SDGs – 8 (dignified work and economic growth), 9 (businesses, innovation and infrastructure), 12 (responsible consumption and manufacturing) and 13 (fighting climate change) – to focus efforts where our Group can make the most significant contributions.

3. Ecovadis certification award: obtaining the Ecovadis Committed scorecard, marking the beginning of a process of ongoing evolution and improvement.

4. Finalization of the 2023 Sustainability Report: reporting of ESG-relevant non-financial information using the GRI standards and implementing the ESRS agreement.

This approach, supported by an external ESG committee, enabled our Group to measure results with accuracy and transparency.
